THANK YOU! I have no idea how I’d missed this until now, but I know what I’m going to be doing this winter (I’m in the UK, so it’ll come out later for us)
It looks wonderful

I want to take my six year old to see this so very very badly! I hope he doesn’t find it scary though, he didn’t like Coraline.

I’m so proud that I can’t help it!! My boyfriend is working on this film as an animator, so I hate to disappoint people, but the faces are in cg.
By the way… I love your blog

Oh man, it looks like they just took everything off the pages of the book and breathed life into it all. This was always one of my favorite books, and I’m now wishing I had my copy here at school with me instead of sitting at home. I can’t wait for it to hit the theaters!

Hey, I didn’t realize that was an Arcade Fire song. I went to school with one of the band members. Nice to see they are getting so much recognition around the world!
Not sure I’m totally impressed with the look of this movie though. I mean the actual look of it is pretty cool, but I treasured that book when I was a kid and I don’t see the need to make it into a movie. I’ll give it a shot when it comes out, I guess. Meh, sorry for the “negative nancy” comment…

No, I feel the same way, Meredith. I don’t want to let myself get too excited about it. But I’ll let myself be cautiously optimistic.

Oh, I hope the movies is as good as the trailer. It does look like they breathed life into the drawings on the page.

I showed this to my boyfriend and he had no idea about the book!
I shunned him..and then bought the book off eBay – I lost mine from when I was little!

a lovely trailer! I’m feeling the urge to sew a max suit for my daughter this winter after seeing that! I’m usually not so into movies made about books or tv shows that I’ve loved as a child either, but wow this looks really nice… and the poster is great too! thanks for sharing this, I had heard about it but not gotten around to looking any further.
