I came to admire your tiny creations (especially love the computer and mouse) but I’m compelled to comment on your review of MY DINNER WITH ANDRE. I saw it when it came out, and felt the exact same way then as you do now. I wish I had read your review back in 1981 (or whenever.)

I saw Up at an end of school party with some of my friends. I thought it was really good. I mean, it was sad at some parts, but it was a great movie.

I loved watching Up, but my husband found it too predictable (I told him that was partly because he wasn’t that interested in the movie initially). I loved the Pixar short in front of Up even more.

What did you think of Never Let Me Go? I just recently read it myself and I’m still not sure how I feel about it. I liked some of the issues it dealt with (why is art so important for these people and is it futile? And by extension, why is it important to us?). I think maybe the use of so many flashbacks frustrated me after a while.
