Knitting Mochimochi Review + Giveaway on Whip Up

More exciting Knitting Mochimochi news!

Whip Up just published a very nice review of my book—I was so happy to read it, because they are always on the cutting edge in crafting.

My favorite sentence from the review:

When I first saw Knitting Mochimochi, all that I could say was “squee!”, a high pitched “awwwww!” and that chubby cheek kind of noise that people make when they squoosh the cheeks of a gorgeous baby, a bit like “woodgewoodgewoodge”.

Along with the review, which was written by their contributor Kate, they are giving away a copy of the book! To enter, leave a comment on the post over at Whip Up telling them about “the craziest, funniest, and impractical thing you have every made.” (I wonder where they got that idea!) You have to act fast, though—they’re picking a winner 48 hours after the post went up, and it looks like it was published early on June 28th, Australia time.

Thank you so much to Kate and Whip Up!

  1. Anna! I am bursting with such excitement for this book that I’m almost hyper! I got it preordered already – I can’t wait to see what kinds of awesome patterns you have in there! Just one more day . . .:D

  2. Hi Anna,

Reviewing your book was great fun, I <3 your designs so very hard, or could you tell? I want to make ninja buns for my daughters 2nd birthday next month.

    Xxx Kate

  3. I may have accidentally gotten a copy a day early (today)… From a store which shall remain nameless…. Just wanted to tell you that I ADORE it. Can’t wait to start knitting! And…. Even if I did sorta cheat… This was exactly the amount of cute I needed to cheer me up. :D

  4. Woah, I’m so happy for you and your book release. I don’t think that It would be supplied here in New Zealand, but my aunty who lives in the U.S.A might buy a copy and send it to me. Congrats on the book, you must be so excited!

  5. Hooray for a positive review! I’m hoping mine arrives today, and I entered the giveaway because I’d like to give a copy to my yarn store owner, too, so she can start selling your patterns. ;) (Do you think a knitted Jesusman with real fake hair will win? I did it in seminary.)

  6. Ran to the local bookstore after work today and finally picked up a copy!! I love it!! So excited on knitting up you’re little creatures. Congrats on such a great job and thank you for putting the book together!

Much love from Seattle, Washington <3
