Tiny Cupids Cause a Heart-Storm

Did you know that Tiny Angels like to play cupid sometimes? Knitjvf demonstrates this perfectly with some adorable cupids on a cloud!

She removed the cherub’s halo and added an I-cord bow to complete the cupid look.

And the cloud? I do believe it’s Rainycloud paired with the free pattern for Hearts!

Tiny Beet is Snubbed

We asked for your tiny beet puns in Friday’s caption contest, and boy did we get them! Our favorite caption used an unexpected pun that stole our heart…

No one wants to talk to tiny beet – he’s such a borscht.

Poor tiny beet! But great caption from Gwen, who wins the PDF pattern for Hugs + Squoze for her contribution. Yay!

I love it when a knitter starts with one of my patterns and takes it in a completely original direction, and I have a perfect example today! Soyaspade took the Pocket Protectors from Knitting Mochimochi…

…and turned her version into Flower and Buddy, creatures who look like they sprang up from a magical garden!

The leaf pattern that she used is from Natural Suburbia, and this beautiful flower is from Lesley Stanfield’s book 100 Flowers to Knit & Crochet.

So much creativity! This really inspires me.

High-Fiber Sushi

Lately I’ve been spotting various knitted sushi popping up on Ravelry and in the Flickr group! Getting to see all the adorable variations is just another reason why I love designing cute little stuff instead of sweaters. (Also, less math!)

I can always count on Hannah of BitterSweet to photograph knitted food in the most delectable way.

Hannah has also been testing patterns for me for several years now, and so her gorgeous photos are like an extra bonus that comes with her pattern feedback.

I’ve gushed about Hannah’s blog before, where her amazing photos are more often than not accompanied by a vegan recipe. Definitely check it out!

Tiny Pirate Sings a Shanty

If there’s anything a Tiny Pirate is passionate about, it’s a tiny sea shanty! Also, a tiny bit too much rum.

A tiny pirate I may be,
I’m nae much larger than a flea,
but I know me alphabet by far,
especially me ‘aye’s an ‘arrr’s!
