There aren't too many of us out here on the east coast (I live in D.C.). I still remember living in a small town and reading the police blotter. It wasn't nearly as amusing, but I'll never forget, among the entries for illegal substance manufacture/abuse, the entry: "Small white dog reported on lawn." Yup, I'd call the police for that.
