The pattern comes with instructions to make a small, simple unicorn in both flat and circular versions. Depending on your experience, the project can be finished in a few hours or even minutes! Basic knitting knowledge (casting on, knitting and purling, increase and decrease stitches) is required. Worsted-weight yarn is recommended, but you can use fingering-weight yarn and size 1 US (2.25mm) needles for a really tiny guy.
