I can’t tell you how many times people have asked me for a tiny cat or dog pattern, so I’m excited to finally be able to say YES! When they’re not handling yarn emergencies, they lend their bold and creative problem solving to anyone who carries them in their pocket.
These guys knit up in an hour or two with no seams and very little yarn, so they make perfect “just-because” gifts and party favors.

I made him back in September of last year, and foolishly thought I would release the pattern in November. Everyone knows that monkeys prefer summer! So he’s coming to the Mochimochi Shop next month, and he now has a name: Zaru!

You may have heard that Kathreen Ricketson, the founder of Whipup, passed away earlier this month in a tragic accident. She was huge influence on the contemporary craft movement, and she is sorely missed. You can find out how to contribute to a fund for her children here.
