It Was the Narwhal!

I think I forgot to mention this already, but the mystery kit from May was the Tiny Narwhal!

It was fun shipping the kits out to people all over, knowing (or at least feeling pretty sure) that they would be well received. (And from the happy feedback I got, it seems I was right!)

Now the tiny narwhals are enjoying their official debut in the summer.

You can now get the pattern as a kit or as part of the new Tiny Frozen collection—and $1 of each sale of those this July is going to support Arctic conservation.

Happy World Wide Knit in Public Day!

Tomorrow (June 10th) is World Wide Knit in Public Day, an opportunity to show the world what actual knitters look like. (And maybe also teach a few people how it’s done!) You can go knit somewhere on your own, with a group of friends, or you can find a more organized happening near you via the WWKIPDAY website.

Of course, every day can be WWKIP Day. Just yesterday I was knitting at a coffee shop as a result met the sweetest older lady who’s been knitting and crocheting since she was 12. Everybody knows somebody who does a yarn craft, so it’s cool to see who will approach you with a story.

Funky Fleece 2: Fully Wooly

It’s funky fleece season again in Mochimochi Land! This year’s celebration is funkier and fleecier than ever.

Thanks to Maureen Boyle and William Steffey for animation and music help!

If you haven’t seen it, check out the original Funky Fleece.

You can find patterns for tiny sheep and gnomes, plus tiny hand-knitted gnomes, in the shop!

Here’s a little behind the scenes shot of our set.
