Tiny Acorn

I was thinking today would be September 31st, but I’m happy to see that it’s October! (Someday I’ll learn how to read a calendar.) So let’s kick the month off right with an autumnal tiny thing.

tinyacorn

Winning caption by Wendy:
Tiny acorn dreams of putting down roots in Paris, where his love of berets and Jerry Lewis will be appreciated.

Can you imagine what it’s like to be a tiny acorn? (Or a regular-size acorn, for that matter?) Leave your cute/funny caption suggestion in the comments! On Monday I’ll choose the winner, who will get a free PDF pattern from the Mochimochi Shop.

Tiny Hippo

Today’s Tiny Thing comes by request from some of the knitters in the class at Lion Brand that I taught last Sunday.

Winning caption: Tiny hippo likes to wallow in unwashed cereal bowls and abandoned coffee mugs. He/she says milk is good for the skin.

(Thanks for the funny caption, onnastick!)

Tiny Hippo needs a cute/funny caption—leave your suggestion in the comments (one per person, please), and I’ll pick a winner of a free pattern Tuesday morning!

Tiny Strawberry

Winning caption:
Though he may look a little seedy, the only mischief this tiny berry’s getting into is a spoonful of strawberries Romanoff.

This time instead of a free pattern for the person who suggested that I make a tiny strawberry, I’ll take a tip from Roger Ebert and give away a free pattern to the best caption to this photo! Leave your caption in the comments (one per person please), and I’ll choose the best caption on Monday. Cute and funny will win!

Tiny Tooth

This mini molar wasn’t happy to be kicked out of the No Cavities Club, but they’re just a bunch of elitists anyway, right?

The same person who first suggested this week’s Tiny Thing also was the first to suggest last week’s, so I’ll send a free pattern to the second person who suggested a Tiny Tooth, which was Abbie!

Tiny Ants

(OK, so they’re really pretty giant ants….)

Experts say that when we’re not looking, certain colonies will break out into a conga line.

Aren’t ants fascinating? I’ve had ants on the brain lately, enough so that I’m thinking about reading this book.

Larka_Luna was the first person to suggest knitted ants in the comments, so she gets a free pattern!
