Tiny Factory

Winning caption by Bob:
The means of production belongs in the hands of the cuteletariat.

tinyfactory

Tiny Factory is always trying to speed up production, but that might be the least of his problems! Leave your caption in the comments, and we’ll choose our favorite on Monday.

The winner this time will get a free PDF pattern for Error, the only (soft) hardware guaranteed not to crash!

Tiny Ballerina

Winning caption by Jeannie:
I’m tutu cute!

Thank you all for your enthusiastic comments on my post about the new book! I’m planning to keep up the Tiny series on a weekly basis at least until it’s released in August. That will make the series continuous for more than two years!

tinyballerina

This time, Tiny Ballerina needs a caption, and we hope you can help!

We’ll pick our favorite (ie cutest/funniest) caption on Monday. The winner will get a free PDF pattern for Tubby!

Tiny Band-aid

Update:

Congrats to Joan for her winning caption!

Tiny Band-aid will start his journey of healing with Yarn Joins, hopefully moving up to the big leagues of scraped knees, and then the World.

tinybandaid

Tiny Band-aid wants to heal the world. One thing at a time, though—what’s he going to heal first?

Leave your caption in the comments, and we’ll choose our favorite on Monday. The winner this time will get a free PDF pattern for Sleepy Snake & Mischievous Mouse!

Tiny Jelly Beans

Winning caption by Lizzy:
To bean, or not to bean, that is the question.

Happy Earth Day, everyone! I tried to come up with something earthy for today’s Tiny Thing, but I’ve already knitted a Tiny Seedling, a Tiny Tree and Shrub, and a Tiny Earth. So here are some jelly beans instead!

tinyjellybeans

Jelly beans are perhaps the least seriously taken food, and these guys are out to prove the world wrong! What serious thoughts do their sticky sugary Easter-y exteriors belie? Leave your caption in the comments and we’ll pick our favorite on Monday!

The winner this time will get a special springtime pattern package: Ninjabun, Rainycloud, and Which Came First!

Tiny Dog

tinydog1

I’ve probably gotten at least 20 requests for a tiny dog, and usually a specific breed of dog. I hope this mutt is acceptable!

tinydog2

What is this little guy begging for? Yarn scraps, of course!

Since I just thought up that extremely clever joke, we won’t have a caption contest this week. But do add your caption if you have one!

Tiny Tree and Small Shrubbery

Winning caption by Sue:
Little shrub to tiny tree: You said you’d never grow up…

This week’s Tiny Thing(s) is a little bit of a cheat because I actually made this Tiny Tree and Shrub way back in 2009. It was going to be in my book Knitting Mochimochi, but it was cut because of space. (Nothing personal, Tiny Tree and Shrub!)

Maybe you can tell by the discontented looks in their eyes, but this Tiny Tree and Shrub are not exactly best friends, although they’re stuck with each other on their small bit of grass. What soured their relationship? Speculate in the comments, and we’ll choose our favorite caption on Monday to win a free PDF pattern from the Mochimochi Shop!

Tiny Fly

tinyfly

This Tiny (gigantic) Fly is a positive thinker. Life is just a bowl of carcasses!

No contest this weekend—I’m going to Berlin! I’ll be blogging from there next week, so stay tuned for posts from Europe and my show!
