Last-Minute Shamrocks
Feeling compelled to add a little green to your outfit today? If you have a few minutes, you can whip up a shamrock pin by making three hearts from my free pattern, attaching them together, and adding an I-cord!
I blogged about these shamrock pins that veeda made last year, and I’ve since seen one or two more pop up on Ravelry. It’s such a clever idea!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

These were fun to make, but I need to work on my seaming skills. What kind of yarn you think works best?

I think you can get good results with many different yarns, but I prefer working with wool for the most part, and maybe you wouldn’t want to use anything too bulky if you’re making these shamrocks – unless you want really big shamrocks!
If you haven’t, I suggest you check out my mattress stitch tutorial for seaming tips.

Say! Perhaps that’ll be a good idea. I’ve been celebrating something else today: my cousin’s first birthday! So I’ll need to look at your patterns and pick something out!
