This may be the cutest thing to ever drop from a crane game’s claw.
It was won for me by my husband (then fiance) in Tokyo in December 2005 – the day after we got engaged, in fact. It was unseasonably warm.
To this day, I don’t know how John was able to get that slippery claw to cling to that slick plastic container.
I love pretty much everything about this little captive creature – its sweet pose, biiig, relaxed smile, the little leaf on its head, and its fuzzy grass pillow (which is actually super soft).
I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to see what he wins me on our trip to Japan next month!! (No pressure, Sweetie.)
Those machines are hard to win anything. The last time I was in Japan, I was in this area that had those machines and everything in was so cute! I wanted it all! You are so lucky to be heading to Japan. My mom is there now.
That is so super cute! I just got directed to your blog from The Knitting love flickr group. I must say you are a find! I can’t wait to see what more you have!

Thanks so much, Danielle!
Yes, Oiyi, I am so excited about our upcoming trip! It’s pretty much impossible to get tired of Japan, I think. I hope your mom likes it there.
