John and I squeezed in a couple of hours at the Tulsa State Fair on Sunday before returning to New York. Despite some cool and cloudy weather, it was a lot of fun.
We saw cute chickens!
I rediscovered Pineapple Whip!
There was a big display of fancy cakes!
Including a clock cake…
a wind-up “chattering teeth” cake…
and this cake shaped like a can of chewing tobacco.
There were also these mysterious barrels sitting around outside the pavilion, which I found to be almost as intriguing as the cakes.
I hope we get to go to a fair next year too!
Don’t eat the barrels!
Hi,
I have just found your blog/shop via a internet search. I have absolutely fallen in love with your products, you are such a creative person.
My main favourite is your knitting pattern for toilet paper, I might just have to sit down one night and make my own roll :).
Thanks for sharing all your beautiful creations, I am adding you to my blog reader so I can keep up to date with you and your creations.
Happy knitting
Renee
I love the chicken, and that pineapple whip looks delicious!
The chicken is freaking me out, but then again maybe thats just because I’m used to creepy stares from my cat. And I that pineapple whip does look super delicious.
Glad you had a good time when you were home.
You remind me of our neice in MN – her and her husband are artist also
as a general rule, i consider most things delivered in rusted metal barrels to be “inedible”… ;)
OMG! YOUR OWLS ARE SOOOOO CUTE! Thanks for putting this up around my birthday, now I can add it to my list! :D
What is a pineapple whip? Like sherbert?
