Seeing Stars

What’s a knitted solar system without stars? Lots and lots of stars…

Being a star factory isn’t quite as fun as it might sound, but I’m hoping the finished effect will be worth the tedium. I can’t wait to arrange them into constellations.

In case anyone is wondering, I’m planning to release a star pattern a bit later on this year. For now, these guys are headed for my show in Berlin next month. 37 down, 13 to go!

  1. I was wondering that exact thing. Now I can’t wait for you to release the pattern. Have fun in Berlin!

  2. At least they are not all the same color!

My tattoo artist hates stars, because they are one of the typical things that teenyboppers ask for when they are getting their first tattoo. It makes custom work even more exciting!

  3. Why don’t you post the pattern now so we can all make stars?

I see where you keep all of your tinys…

Also, were those mochis going to be in the show?

  4. They look fantastic. I’m sure the outcome will be worth every stitch. You will have to share a lot of pictures for those of us who can’t make it to Berlin.

  5. Oh my goodness! these are so cute! oh my goodness how many are there oh wait there are um um ten. LOL this is so cute Anna! I would be so happy if they were a free pattern!

  6. I’m so obsessed with stars. I’ve been trying to make a star pattern recently as well! I got inspired by the hearts pattern, and I want to make stars to go with them. I’ve been trying to make the stars all in one go; not adding the arms after. Yours are obviously working better than mine though!

  7. I love a starry starry night by Vincent VanGoh there is just something soothing and beautiful when you see the stars up in the nights sky and wish upon them something I often did as a child:)((((Hugs))))))Darcy
