  1. After trying for some time to come up with a witty comment, I’ve decided to squid while I’m ahead.

  2. I quote Dorie from “Finding Nemo”: “I shall call him squishy, and he shall be mine”

  3. “All those men. They didn’t even have a chance. They were sailors, same as me. Slaughtered by that monster you’re trying to make friends with.”
    “Awwww….but look how cute he is!”

  4. My name is Martha Squidwart and today I’ll be showing you how to dye yarn with your own ink.

  5. Ms. Squid thinks she would be the perfect leggy match for Mr. Octopus. Plus, she hates guys that ink up the water.

  6. After accepting his offer for dinner, Sue Ellen watched as Henry opened up his day planner to the coming Friday. He didn’t just pencil her in – he inked her in. Her mantle blushed with excitement.

  7. Inspired by his brother(who ran a successful carwash), tiny squid opened a ‘hugs for sale’ booth and was soon swimming in dough

  8. Nectocaris Pteryx : tiniest squid ever to roam the Cambrian sea. Scientist’s chose to rename this nearly microscopic creature the “cuddle”fish.

  9. I can’t think of any clever captions either; but at least I recognize CUTE when I see it :-D (she said, clutching the Mochimochi Land book she got for her birthday!)

  10. Oh, tiny knitted squid!
    Double points are not my friends!
    Would love to try to make you!
    But, I fear I will try,
    But, only to cry!

    Oh, tiny knitted squid!
    Oh so yellow!
    Watch the water,
    as you swim!
    Sun shiny bright you are!

    I fear bait or a snack,
    Could be your future!
    Remember…
    Tiny you are,
    Think big! Act Big!

  11. The Colossal Squid is believed to be 39-46 feet long and live at a depth of 2200m under the sea, while in reality it is only 39-46mm long and lives right at the surface. Scientists have really bad depth perception.

  12. Omigosh!!! You should make a Cuttlefish and sell the Octopus, the Squid, and the Cuttlefish as a Tiny Cephalopod Pattern Set. {3

  13. THE (KNITTED) KRAKEN
    BY ALFRED TYENNYSON AND FLORENCE

    Below the THREADS of the FELTED deep;
    Far, far beneath in the PURLY sea,
    His FOUR-PLY, WOOLY, WORSTED sleep
    The Kraken sleepeth: faintest NEEDLES flee
    About his STOCKINETTE sides: above him swell
    Huge YARN BALLS of millennial growth and WEIGHT;
    And far away into the FUZZY light,
    From many a wondrous STITCH and KNITTED cell
    Unnumber’d and LOOPED polypi
    Winnow with giant arms the GARTERED green.
    There hath he lain for ages and will lie
    UNRAVELING upon huge SKEINS in his sleep,
    Until the DEXTROUS KNITTER shall STITCH the deep;
    Then once by FREINDS and SMALL CHILDREN to be seen,
    In roaring he shall rise and on the surface…BE REALLY CUTE AND SQUASHY!!!!!!
    X-D
