I noticed this ad for Fuse (a music-oriented cable channel I’ve never seen) on a big screen when I was walking by Times Square the other night. There aren’t too many ads that feature little crocheted toys and Old 97’s songs, so I thought it was worth sharing. Anyone know who made the toys?

What a sweet ad, and I love the music too :)
what a fab ad!
Oh my gosh, how adorable!
I was gonna make her a plush boyfriend myself if she didn’t find one by the end! Cute!

Ok, stupid question here…how do people get softies to stand upright for photos (or in this case, videos) like that? I try to take pictures of my stuff, and they’re always flopping all over the place and never in quite the right position.
(and it is a totally cute ad)
well i’m sold!
Yeah, I don’t know how they got the toys to stand upright. If you look closely at the end of the video, you can see one of them wiggling a bit as it’s standing up. So maybe that means they used something pretty flimsy, like fishing line? With photos, it’s easy enough to photoshop out something propping up a toy, but I’m not sure of the best way to do it with video.
Anyway, the ad has me kinda inspired to think more about making my toys appear in different media!
Oh! How cute! I love it!! And I’m so happy that the little creature found a mate at the end to listen to sweet music together.
Loves that ad.
Don’t you just love it when original handmade things make it into mainstream media!!!
I remember how excitted I was to see the knitted things in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, made the whole family watch that scene over and over again!! Never did find out who made them though, hope we do this time!!
