Just a reminder that this Saturday is your last chance to See “Greetings from Mochimochi,” My knitted installation at gallery hanahou in NYC!
Join me at the gallery for a trunk show and tea party on October 30th, from 2 to 4 pm: enjoy tea and cupcakes and the chance to buy little creatures right off the installation!
There will also be a selection of my other pieces on display (just for viewing).
Please RSVP to info@galleryhanahou.com so that we know how many cupcakes to get. See you there!
I’m so sad I live too far away to see it. More pictures please! Also, I sent you a present!
i wish i was there! can you send me a postcard? ;D
Excuse my cultural ignorance, but what, exactly, is a trunk show? I realise there are no elephants involved* ^_^ but it’s not a term I’ve ever heard before.
* ok, I’ll admit there may be tiny elephants involved in this instance
A trunk show just means a special sale. It’s often traveling, I think, which is where the term “trunk” probably came from. In this case, we used the term because it was the last day to see the show, and anyone who bought something from the installation could take it home with them right there and then.
