Winning caption by Lydia:
A knitter allergic to holiday greens
Wanted a wreath for her door.
She started to knit like a knitting machine,
Sitting while knitting some more.
But when it was finished
Excitement diminished
As she went berserk as she looked at her work:
Instead of using a proper-size yarn
She had knitted with finger-weight yarn!
This wreath, on her door, could barely be seen!
So in frustration,
In pure desperation,
She decided to knit a nativity scene.
Today’s Tiny Mochi was inspired by our first place winner in the photo contest!
This little guy might not show up so well on your front door, but he still wants to bring holiday cheer somehow!
It’s time for a Tiny Wreath caption contest! Leave your caption in the comments to this post (one per person please), and we’ll pick our favorite on Monday to win…
This adorable holiday tape measure from Tomo and Timo!
Great prize, right? Thank you to Tomo of Tomo and Timo for contributing it! Now let’s hear those captions!
“I wreath you a knitty Christmas, I wreath you a knitty Christmas, I wreath you a knitty Christmas and a purlly New Year!”
Tiny wreath is hoping that his new red bow might be just the thing to catch the eye of the Tiny Angel. Now if only he could find some tiny mistletoe!
I don’t have a caption, I just wanted to say how much I LOVE this guy! I want to hang one on every door…
I cant beat the “I wreath you” caption but wondered where I can get this pattern? I didn’t see it on the site. Is it in any of your books?
Glad you like it, Deb! I just whipped it up this morning, so there’s no pattern. But I hope to make one for it someday!
OOOOooooo Christmas wreath, O Christmas wreath…
HOT OFF THE PRESS – Wreath session (ressesion) hits everywhere! – ho ho ho
Just wanted to say how cute it is, but I won’t be able to think of a good caption until tomorrow morning when I am in the shower, and I won’t remember it by the time I get to the computer. :)
(I’ve been whipping up a bunch of gnomes from your Teeny Tiny Mochi-Mochi book… everyone loves them.)
tiny wreath asks you to please knock gently – gingerbread house doors are fragile!
since amanda’s comment is sure to win, i might just have to buy that tape measure for myself. so cute!
i’m not creative enough to come up with a caption. but just let me say this: your creativity blows me away!
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse, because the door of their house was adorned with a wreath
Tiny wreath would like a tiny dollhouse door for Christmas.
His favorite movie is “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, when the wreath is attacking the lady in the rocking chair.
This is totally what I thought of when I saw the photo!
It is totally cute! It would look smashing with some fluffy yarn so it’s a bit more poofy! Now for a la caption:
“This tiny wreath is what you call a miniture, ok class? Now say miniture!”
“Mini-Wreath! Mini-Wreath!”
although tiny wreath is small, he brightens up spirits w/ his big holiday cheer for his mochimochi friends in all sizes, tiny or small ! :)
It’s almost Christmas so tiny wreath needs to remember to put his festive tie on, not that gaudy one from Halloween.
This tiny wreath got confused when he heard he needed to be hung up…he drank too much egg nog and ended up a little hungover.
I need this pattern!!
Tiny Wreath really wishes that someone had told him he had mistletoe in his teeth before all the guests arrived.
Put me on you door!
Oh Christmas wreath, Oh Christmas wreath,
How lovely is your tiny bow,
Oh Christmas wreath, Oh Christmas wreath,
You’re small enough to fit on someone’s toe!
I’m not a door knocker,
Too squishy to make a sound,
I’m a tiny wreath that is prettier,
Than any you’ve seen around.
Tiny wreath wants to tell Kermit it is easy being green.
Not even Ebenezer Scrooge could “bah humbug” this tiny wreath!
It totally looks like the wreath is waiting to be filled with cookies, cookie monster style. I imagine a tiny little voice squealing “FEED ME!!!”.

Tiny wreath may be small but on your finger he can help ring in the holidays with a major WOW factor :-)
Proposal via large wreath on her finger would be a bit cumbersome, while this tiny wreath is the perfect petite ring!
Not a chance past this one though!
i cant think of a caption. this is the best i got:
tiny wreath singing: knit it!
i say knit it!
into a shape
purl it up
or knit straight!
yarn over
knit ahead
try to bind off
its not to late
to knit it
knit it good
from the song whip it

Little wreath just wants to show spirit,
but the big wreaths just don’t want to hear it.
He is the most jolly,
but in such a small body,
he just isn’t allowed in the festivities.
Don’t fear the wreather
Christmas has me going in circles!
Tiny Wreath is looking dapper all ’round for the next “red tie” event!
Do these ornaments make me look younger?
This says “Welcome, Tiny Carollers!”
Tiny Wreath is cute and green
But don’t mistaken him for a frog
He’s got a shiny sheen
Just please don’t hang him on your dog
The wreath is so itty-bitty,
while the others aren’t so witty.
They aren’t made by man,
but he is knit by hand!
