Tiny Beet

Winning caption by Gwen:
No one wants to talk to tiny beet – he’s such a borscht.

Why a tiny beet? Why not!

  1. I don’t have a proper caption, but it makes me think of Shel Silverstein and his line “lettuce rest, I’m feeling beet.” I don’t remember which poem it is, but I know it’s from A Light in the Attic. :)

  2. he may look small and sweet
and some may say a tasty treat
    but please don’t eat
    this little beet
    because he is my friend

  3. Beet, Beet likes watching Beep, Beep.

    Just in case :)
(Beep, Beep is a cartoon featuring Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner by Warner Bros.)

  4. Beets are Big,
    Beets are Small,
I don’t really care at ALL!
The tiny Beet is BEST you SEE.
    Because it was knitted,
    And sewn by ME!

  5. This tiny beet’s so tired of the puns about it, it might just “beet’ up the next person who makes. Whoops! Pow!

  6. Oh Tiny beet
    So adorably petite
    From your color and size
    Your leaves and your eyes
    That I could just cry!

  7. Of all the beets, big and small,
    Comes a knit beet.
The others were suspicious of it at first,
    But then decided,
If you can’t beet ’em, join ’em!

  8. Although I’m glad to be the focus of this week’s caption contest, I’m afraid that I’ve beet you to the pun!

  9. “b”, “b”, sounds like a bee
    but is not more beautiful
    than a tiny little beet,
    so gorgeous in red,
    and incredible in roots,
this tiny little knit is for this beautiful beet.

  10. i’m tiny beetsy knity
    i’m a tiny knitted beet
if you want to come and see me
    feel free to join me,
but remember always you must to bring
a tiny knitted tea for me.

  11. Tiny beet is sick of people singing Michael Jackson’s “Just beat it” and laughing when they walk by his patch. He may be purple and unpopular as a sandwich ingredient but this little guy has feelings too! Oh well, at least he has tiny carrot and tiny tater to talk to. What makes being a mochi worthwhile is all the friends.

That one’s from I think vegetarian poem. It’s an awesome poem!

  13. These are fun! I like that one… Nick, the knit beet… and I like the borscht reference, too.

Here’s mine: Far from analphabeet, this twee tuber is a passionate fan of pulp fiction.
