Here’s a peek at the new pattern coming to the Mochimochi Shop later this week.
I think you might be able to guess what it is…?
Check back soon to find out!

If you missed it, I just spent the month of July knitting tiny things—one for every weekday, for 23 tiny things in total!
I spent a lot of time on these, but it was so satisfying to have a big collection of them in the end. Some were easier than others—I remember whipping up the Tiny Ice Cream in very little time, while the Tiny Vacuum Cleaner was one of the hardest for me to design. I had fun with them all, but some of my personal favorites are the Tiny Forest, Tiny Lion, Tiny Cheeseburger, and Tiny Computer. What are your favorites?
As I think I’ve mentioned in the comments, I would like to make some of these available as patterns, but I haven’t yet decided in what form to publish them. (And I have a ton of other projects going on that I need to finish up first!) I’m really happy to see the great response these guys have gotten and it’s wonderful to know that there is interest in patterns.
I’m going to try to keep up the series with one new tiny thing each week. In the meantime, I’m adding a new (non-tiny) summertime pattern to the Mochimochi Shop later this week. More to come on that soon!
Update: Thank you to Super Cute Kawaii for posting about the tinys!
Update: You can find the Tiny Gnome pattern in this PDF download and in my book Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi!
The twenty-third tiny thing is a Tiny Garden Gnome.
He recently went to Nome, Alaska, where he was very disappointed not to find a “G.” (Thanks, John!)
It looks like Shannon was the first commenter to suggest a gnome, so she gets a free pattern. Thanks Shannon!
So the month of Tiny Things has come to an end, but I’ve had so much fun with it that I’m thinking I’ll turn it into a weekly feature on the blog. Sound good?
The twenty-second tiny thing is a Tiny Trash Can.
He likes to make friends, but the way he relates to other things could use some work.
Melissa gave me the idea in the comments, so she gets a free pattern! Thanks Melissa!
The twenty-first tiny thing is a Tiny Cheeseburger.
He is going through a tiny crisis because he just found out he is made of soy.
Burgers were mentioned by several commenters, but knittedteacups was the only person to mention a cheeseburger, so she gets a free pattern!
The twentieth tiny thing is a Tiny Forest.
It can’t see itself for the trees! (That sentence comes courtesy of John.)
This one was my idea, after a long day of attempting various other knitted things that maybe just weren’t meant to be tiny.
Thank you to Natalie at CRAFT for posting about my tiny series yesterday!
The nineteenth tiny thing is a Tiny Panda.
This manipulative little guy always gets his way by playing the “endangered species” card. Don’t fall for it!
Deb was the first to suggest a tiny panda in the comments, so a free pattern is coming her way. Thanks Deb!
The eighteenth tiny thing is a Tiny Record Player.
Life in the attic isn’t so bad, but he often wishes he had something other than the Partridge Family to keep him company.
This suggestion came from ~Plu~, so she gets a free pattern today! Thanks ~Plu~!
