Like most everyone else I know, I’ve been trying to cut my clothes shopping budget lately. For me, this has mostly meant staying away from Bloomingdale’s and other favorite stores altogether, but the other day my sister and I gave Goodwill in Stillwater, OK, a try. I wasn’t expecting to find much there in a small university town, but I was pleasantly surprised with some great finds!
I was so excited that I took photos while my sister was in the fitting room…
Aren’t these shoes awesome? The pair in front fit me perfectly, and the pair behind fit my sis’s narrower feet.
I love the cut of this blouse.
This print struck me as very Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Another neat print from a dress that seemed very Max Mara (especially in its fabric and cut) to me.
LOVE this necklace (from the Goodwill in Owasso).
I can’t wait to start sporting all this stuff and have handsome guys lower their glasses in my direction.
I don’t know if you’ve left already, but any time I visit my parents in Tulsa I make sure to hit the thrift store at 21st and Sheridan. All of the clothes are sorted by color and they’re usually in pretty good condition, although I think you’ve hit the jackpot here. It’s the only way I can convince my husband to buy clothes and usually he gets a good bagful.
I am jealous, I always look in charity shops for nice stuff, but for every 10 visits I get one nice item. You hit the mother-lode this time didn’t you?
Those shoes are AWESOME. :)
So, I found a fun video game over the weekend that might appeal to you – and it’s available as a download on BOTH Xbox and PS3! It’s called Flock, and you’re an alien spaceship trying to abduct sheep and other farm animals, all of which are completely adorable. You herd them around the landscape, you can make crop circles, you get sheep wet so they shrink… it’s really cute and fun. Anyway, I thought of you when I saw it. I’ve been playing all weekend! Here’s the Xbox page: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/f/flockxboxlivearcade/
You are so stylish! I can’t wait to see you in that dress, it will look adorable on you! I miss you already and can’t wait for you to come back to Oklahoma.
Great finds Anna! I love the shoes!
