I thought I would do some little illustrations of the toys that will be appearing in my upcoming book Knitting Mochimochi (coming out June 29th!).
This guy’s name is Confused Moose. I guess I would be confused too if a flock of pastel birds moved into my antlers. I would also be confused to wake up with antlers on my head, for that matter.

That’s so nice, Lauren! I do hope to do at least a couple of appearances around the NYC area once the book is out, though I don’t haven’t made any solid plans yet. I’ll definitely post announcements once it comes time for that!

Anna, I have two questions…
1) Will your deserted island be featured in the book, or as perhaps as a future pattern on your site?
2) On the cover of the book, is the fourth pattern down on the right a tube of paint?

1) The deserted island was made as a one-of-a-kind piece, so I won’t have a pattern available for it. BUT you might see something a little bit similar from me sometime in the future.
2) The guy you see on the cover is a Cuter Polluter, or a smokestack. There is a photo in the book that really makes this easy to see, but yes, it’s not totally obvious without that context.
