Finally, something for all you crocheters!
Jennifer at Kounting Sheep has just converted my pattern for Grass into crochet!! Her version is called Winter Grass, and the whole pattern is up on her blog for everyone to try.
As you can see, Jennifer’s Winter Grass closely resembles the original, except in crochet. As a real beginner in crochet, I have yet to try out Jennifer’s pattern myself, but it’s at the top of my list.
As far as I know, this is the first time that a Mochimochi Land pattern has been converted into crochet. How exciting! Seeing that it can be done has me looking forward to future crochet possibilities (that is, once I master the techniques myself…)

Hi there~ I just wanted to let you know how incredibly awesome your work is! All of your patterns are brilliant (not to mention extremely adorable)! ^_^
I’ve just finished knitting your original Grass pattern (using variegated yarn that I hand-dyed with Kool-Aid especially for the occasion ^^), and I think I may have spotted a typo. In the instructions for the reverse side, it reads: “Rows 41, 43, 45, and 47: same as row 37 (7 st)”. However, row 37 simply reads: “Row 37: knit”. If I’m not wrong, I think the instructions were supposed to say “Rows 41, 43, 45, and 47: same as row 39 (7 st)”, since it makes sense that way. Not a big deal, obviously, and I think everyone’s probably figured it out on their own, but I just wanted to point it out.

Linda, thank you VERY much for pointing out that error! As I remember it, the grass is one of the few patterns that I didn’t have tested by someone else – just goes to show how important that is.
