Here’s something that feels a bit surreal: My face got printed really big in the Chicago Tribune yesterday!
The paper interviewed me about how Mochimochi Land came to be and a bit about my other interests. I have Beth at SoHo Publishing to thank for the Tribune taking notice of my work, because they found me through her press release about Vogue Knitting LIVE—which is this weekend in Chicago!
It took me a while to work up the nerve to actually read how my words came out in print. I think I come across OK, but for the record I don’t spend all my time reading snooty magazines!

Wow, what a great article! Also, after seeing only your fingers amongst little characters of delight, I must say it’s really lovely to the person behind (in front of, hugging, etc.) all the hard work. Cheers!
Is there a pattern for that fellow with the binary code coming out of his mouth?
Also, the website wants me to become a member to read your article. Could you post it on the blog so people who don’t need to know every thing that goes in Chicago can read it?

Molly, I don’t have a pattern for the sick robot, but I am rather fond of him—maybe I’ll have to make a new version for a pattern in the future!
