Anna Sui Giveaway!

I was doing some organizing this weekend and came across some little goodies that I got at the Anna Sui show at Bryant Park a couple of months ago. Since several of you have commented that you like Anna Sui, I thought I would do a little giveaway!

Let’s see what we’ve got here… some cute buttons, samples of cologne and eye shadow, and the thing in the black pouch can remain a surprise. Just leave a comment on this post if you would like to get these goodies, and I’ll randomly select a winner at the end of the week!

Tiny Alien

He came to Earth for our sheep… which didn’t look quite so big from outer space. (He may have to settle for yarn scraps instead.)

tess b left a comment suggesting that I make a Tiny Alien in January, so she gets a free pattern!

Walking is Hard

I thought I’d share one of my stop-motion animation tests today. As you’ll see, my model and I are still getting the hang of walking—he started leaning way too far forward, but instead of starting over, I came up with a quick solution to that problem.

I hope to have a test that incorporates some bunny slipper action soon. And I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about how best to animate some knitted characters—the physics of it are just a bit trickier than I originally thought. Anyway, I’m having fun with this new project!

All Bunnied Out

I don’t know about you, but I think I’m all bunnied out for a while after last week. Let’s see, what is the complete opposite of bunnies… robot dinosaurs, perhaps?

OK, so this is a really cute robot dinosaur. But good enough!

When I didn’t have bunnies on the brain last week, I set up a Facebook page for Mochimochi Land. So I hope you’ll become a fan if you’re a Facebooker. And I’ve been Tweeting on Twitter for ages now, so you can find me there too.

Ninjabun Feels Left Out

Let’s not forget this sneaky bunny during Bunny Week!

Thank you to everyone who sent in their great bunny photos, links, and stories this week—I think Bunny Week was a success, so we’ll have to do more themed weeks on the blog in the future. (Ideas are welcome of course!)

You have until the end of the day today (Saturday, April 3rd) to get the Dust Bunnies pattern for free with any $5 purchase from the Mochimochi Shop.

Have a wonderful Easter, everyone!

Let’s Make Rabbits

These bunnies are not doing anything naughty at all.

I was just in a bookstore with my sister-in-law this afternoon, and she came running to me with this book. We agreed that it had to be part of Bunny Week.

Let’s Make Rabbits is by Caldecott winner Leo Lionni, and it’s about drawing pictures of rabbits and making them out of paper, and not about anything biological. (But you could have fooled us, with that cover!)

Betty the Bunny

This bunny thinks it’s bipedal!

Tara sent over this photo of her daughter’s cute bunny Betty. It sounds like Betty has a great personality (she’s buds with their pet chihuahua mix), and I love her speckles and eye patch too.
