Tiny Things Collection 4 Patterns Now Available!

Good news, everyone! A new Tiny Things pattern collection is now in the Mochimochi Shop!

tinys4_avail

It’s been so nice to get ongoing requests for new Tiny patterns. It seems like I can’t release them fast enough! These four—panda, zombie, bee, and cheeseburger—are another selection of my favorites from the past year or so of Tiny Things, so I’m excited to release the patterns for everyone to try.

You can buy the pattern collection as a PDF download for $5 here!

Rainycloud Ghost Costume

OK, so I just blogged about holiday knitting, but then I also just spotted this awesome Halloween Rainycloud that I had to share!

That’s right, a clever knitter dressed a Rainycloud up as a spooky ghost, with a separate sheet for each of the Rainydrops!

fullerenedream added these photos to the Mochimochi Friends Flickr group, so they’re in the running for the Mochimochi Photo Contest! Be sure to add your photos by November 15th!

Snowman Season has Begun

November has barely begun, but I suspect that many knitters already have their holiday knitting well underway. (Not me, though…) Yarngirl69 is putting me to shame with a mini tree of Mochimochi Snowmen that she whipped up last month.

This festiveness is irresistible! We all might as well just succumb to Snowman Season already.

The Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi Snowmen pattern is available for just $2 in the Mochimochi Shop. And for those of you who are fans of tiny things, a new pattern collection is coming any minute now!

Stitch Up Some Forest Friends

Here’s an idea: let’s kick off November with a new cross-stitch pattern in the Mochimochi Shop!

The Forest Friends collection comes with charts for three little designs that will each fit into a 3″ embroidery hoop for framing. They’re very quick to stitch up, and also easy to frame! (A tutorial on how to frame them is included with the patterns.)

Forest Friends is available as a PDF download for $5 right here!

Mochimochi Tea Party Pics

Update!: Check out more photos from the Tea Party/ Trunk Show at the gallery hanahou Flickr page.

Thank you to everyone who came out to on Saturday for the Mochimochi tea party and trunk show!

It was really cool to have a crowd see the show one last time before it was dismantled. (I was busy with that this morning—not as much fun as setting it up, but it certainly was much faster!)

After everyone enjoyed delicious cupcakes from Made Fresh Daily, I gave an unplanned talk and did a little Q&A about knitting toys, writing my book, and how the installation came about. It was a lovely gathering!

Because it was the last day of the show, people who purchased creatures from the installation were able to take them home right then. It was bittersweet moment when I snipped off a little “mochi” riding a cow for a visitor.

(You can also still order many of the little guys from the gallery online shop.)

This was the perfect way to wrap up the show. It’s now all packed away in bags, but it will all hopefully get unpacked again sometime soon in a different place!

Tiny Bat

tinybat

Tiny Bat says Happy Halloween! He actually says that every weekend, not understanding that Halloween is only a once a year thing. (Tiny bats aren’t known for their intelligence.)

No caption contest this week, but let’s resume next week!

Super Happy Pumpkin Mail

I got the most fun mail the other day! Madeline shares my passion for knitted tiny stuff, and she was sweet enough to send me a tiny knitted pumpkin of her own design.

pumpkinmail

I love it!

The inspiration for the pumpkin came from Madeline’s workplace—she manages the store housed in the giant pumpkin that you see in the photos.

Madeline referred to her package as “fan mail,” so I guess this is my first-ever fan mail—thrilling! Thank you, Madeline!

Reminder: Trunk Show and Cupcakes this Saturday!

Just a reminder that this Saturday is your last chance to See “Greetings from Mochimochi,” My knitted installation at gallery hanahou in NYC!
