Kittens

kittens

It is going to take all my restraint to keep from switching this blog to the all-kitten hour, all the time. These guys are just wonderful. (And pretty easy on the eye, too.) We got them through the SaveKitty Foundation, which is based in Queens.

They need names, but we’re trying to get to know them a little before assigning those. Another excuse for a kitten post when we come up with them!

Hello Brooklyn!

John and I moved to a new apartment over the weekend. We’re now living in Brooklyn near Prospect Park. I’m so in love with our new place and the new neighborhood!

This is the window that my desk is now facing. Those are actual trees that you can see outside! Sometimes there are also actual birds chirping. And look—that’s molding on the walls!

It is all very exciting. And tomorrow we’re expecting two new furry additions!

Colorful Boos

Whoa, Halloween’s not far off! Wouldn’t it be awesome to dress in brown and attach a bunch of Boos to yourself, to be a tree with bats in it? I guess that might be a little over the top, but sometimes I’m tempted to wear the toys I make….

Here are a few more Boos that I fell for on Ravelry. There are so many fabulous ones!

iamkashi‘s boo isn’t afraid to show its softer side with floral buttons!

Aw and check out this super-cute group of Boos made by orangecat! I bet they get together on Saturdays to play squash. Or Yahtzee!
